Job description: Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues
Ensure adequacy of supplies at all times
Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
Follow the directions of the executive and sous chef
Suggest new rules and procedures for optimizing the cooking process
Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
Job requirement: Excellent customer service skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of basic math, fractions, and common measurements like litres and cups
Understanding of how viruses and bacteria can spread and the precautions needed to keep food safe
Extensive knowledge of food preparation and the recipes and ingredients that the restaurant uses
Minimum qualification: None
